REQUIREMENTS (to be completed and
checked each semester)
1. Maintain at least an "A" (4.0) grade point
average (checked Spring 2004, Fall 2004, 2005 4th & 5th Six Weeks)
2. Maintain good conduct in accordance with the NHS motto:
character, scholarship, leadership, and service. Service, fulfilling the hours
requirements (see below), is a *very* important part of NHS.
3. Contribute ten hours of service to the community, through approved philathropies
per semester.
4. Contribute ten hours of service in school actvities from
the approved list per semester. (ten hours of community service + ten hours of
in-school service = minimum twenty hours total service per semester). Again, as
above, this is perfectly reasonable.
5. Come to a bare minimum of 50% of the scheduled meetings. We
understand many NHS members have conflicting commitments and busy schedules,
but participation points can be made up through activities throughout the year.
6. Wear the NHS shirt on meeting days at the very least 50% of
the time and to all associated volunteer and activities work, unless another
uniform/outfit is required by the philanthropy.
