OBJECTIVE 

Students shall be able to

  1. explain the reasons for the economic dislocations of the dust bowl era,

  2. discuss the epistemological changes in the United States in the early 20th century,

  3. discuss the effect of the epistemological changes in the early 20th century on the public policy of the United States,

  4. explain the relationship between the literature of the United States and the economic history of the time.
