Business Organizations

OBJECTIVE 

Students shall be able to

  1. define sole proprietorship,

  2. define partnership,

  3. define corporation,

  4. identify the strengths and weaknesses of each of the three forms of business organizations,

  5. describe the structure and features of corporations.

  6. describe two ways that businesses in the United States can expand and grow.

  7. describe the characteristics of the conglomerate.

  8. explain the nature of the multinational corporation and the way that it differs from the conglomerate.

 

ACTIVITIES

  1. Students shall complete the Business Organizations Characteristics worksheet.

  2. Students shall complete the Chapter 3, Sections 1 & 2 Crossword Puzzle.

  3. Students shall establish an account for the purpose of tracking a stock portfolio.

Assignment: Complete the Business Organizations Characteristics handout. Complete the Business Organizations Crossword Puzzle. Read the instructions for creating a stock portfolio and then establish a portfolio account.
