Legislation Research Project
Notes:
Opening a Microsoft Word Document
Obviously if you have Microsoft
Word on your computer, you can open the document. But you can also
open it with most current word processing programs, such as
WordPerfect, AppleWorks, or Microsoft Works. If you're having
trouble, I recommend that you download and install the free Open
Office suite from
http://www.openoffice.org/. Another alternative, and one that
will work on a Mac also, is the online Thinkfree Office at
http://online.thinkfree.com/.
Don't have a computer?
Pick a partner who does! Or, of
course, you can use a computer at school. This might require hanging
around campus for awhile after school.
