Real Property Law

OBJECTIVES 

Students shall be able to

  1. list the steps in evaluating the purchase of a home.

  2. enumerate the costs connected with obtaining a mortgage and describe the major types of mortgage loans.

  3. distinguish among the types of co-ownership of real property.

  4. contrast the various deeds in common use.

  5. explain some of the limitations on the use of land that are imposed by law and that arise from contract.

  6. compare some alternative forms of home ownership.

  7. explain the doctrine of adverse possession.

 

ACTIVITIES

  2. Students shall brief the case of Kline v. Kramer.

  3. Students shall complete the chapter 28 worksheet.
