Introduction to Macroeconomics

OBJECTIVES 

Students shall be able to

  1. define economics, microeconomics and macroeconomics.

  2. describe and explain the economic way of thinking.

  3. discuss concerns of macroeconomics.

ACTIVITIES

  1. Lecture/Discussion: the nature of economics and the distinction between micro and macro.

  2. Reading: Bernanke on slowing growth (Word or PDF).

Assignments:

  1. Take notes.

  2. Read McConnnell & Brue chapter 2 for Thursday.
