9th Grade Wing Procedures

What to do if you are tardy?

• When you are tardy—you must go to the tardy station in the freshmen wing. [It's downstairs near the front entrance.]

• You will receive an admit to class slip with the information that tells you if it is a warning (there are 2 a six weeks)  or ASD (After School Detention) or ISS (In School Suspension). 

• Parents - You may not be notified each time your child is assigned ASD or ISS for tardies.

ISS Procedures

• If you are assigned ISS be prepared to work!

• Each class period will be designated for  a specific subject area.

• All students will be required to go to LMS and get their assignments. 

• Lunch will be served in the ISS room.

• There will be be restroom breaks—one in the morning and one in the afternoon. 

• At no time will the student we allowed to leave the ISS room unless authorized by a principal or counselor. 

• If you are dismissed from ISS, you must be picked up a parent/guardian and a parent conference will be scheduled with the head principal of the 9th grade wing upon departure or return the following day. You will repeat the missed day.

Counseling Office Procedures

1. RESPECT the Counseling Center staff.
2. SIGN in when you arrive in the counseling center.
3. FILL out a “Counselor Request” form and return to class. Your counselor will send for you. [You may also fill in a counselor request form electronically from your tablet PC or home computer. See the link by your counselor's name.]
4. Please sign out and return to class when you have finished speaking with your counselor.
5.  ONLY come down with a pass signed by the teacher.  It MUST show the date and time you left class.  NO OTHER PASSES WILL BE ACCEPTED!!
6. YOU are expected to be on your best behavior in the Counseling Center.
7. KEEP up with important dates and deadlines.   UTILIZE the Career Center – it is here for YOU!
